Project Overview

Architecture Kenya is honored to present the Born Free Foundation headquarters, a purpose-built facility that embodies the organization's unwavering commitment to wildlife conservation and ethical stewardship. Our design approach harmonizes functional workspaces with the surrounding natural environment, creating a headquarters that is both efficient and inspiring. The building features open-plan offices, meeting and training spaces, and dedicated areas for conservation planning and outreach coordination. Large windows and passive ventilation strategies reduce energy demand while connecting occupants to the landscape, and locally sourced materials were prioritized to minimize environmental impact. With careful attention to sustainability, durability, and biophilic design principles, Architecture Kenya has delivered a headquarters that reflects the Born Free Foundation's values—serving as a base for impactful action while respecting the living world it exists to protect.
