Luxury Tented Camp – Maasai Mara
Project Overview
This 40-room luxury tented camp was conceived in 2014 for a Dubai-based hospitality management company, on the spectacular plains of Enkereri in the Maasai Mara, the very location where the iconic film Out of Africa was shot. The project was designed to celebrate the area's breathtaking landscapes, rich wildlife, and cinematic heritage while delivering an exclusive luxury safari experience. The master plan carefully integrated spacious guest tents, elegant communal facilities, and discreet service infrastructure into the natural environment, ensuring minimal ecological impact while maximizing views and guest comfort. The architecture drew inspiration from the timeless character of the Maasai Mara, combining understated contemporary design with authentic safari living. Following completion of the design phase, construction commenced and significant site works were undertaken before the project was unfortunately halted due to funding challenges experienced by the developer. Although never realised, the project remains one of our most ambitious hospitality commissions, reflecting our capability in master planning, environmentally responsive design, and the creation of world-class tourism destinations in some of Africa's most remarkable landscapes.
